Let's say i received a Paypal payment from a buyer. Is there any way to tell if the funds came from the buyers credit-card or from their account?

There should be - if you log into paypal and look at the payment type and fees deducted, that might give you a pretty good idea.

That is the whole brilliance behind paypal - they charge you just as much regardless of how the buyer paid them.
So paypal potentially gets to charge their % numerous times on the same funds, when all that is happening is a few bits are moving in their own database.
