OpenCart vs Shopify

Hello,

I was wondering why someone would use Shopify instead of OpenCart which is apparently free?

I am thinking of starting an eCommerce business where foreigners (specific nationality) in the US and Canada as well as Europe and the rest of the world can order via Credit Card and I have the product made and shipped within a specific country.

Something similar to "Order and Send flowers in a specific country" while orders come from abroad.

What platform do you recommend? Thanks in advance.
