i received an order via paypal for a customer i'd rather not do business with.

is it possible to cancel their order via paypal so i don't have to receive the inevitable "e-check failed" message?

If you don't see "Accept" and "Deny" buttons in your History view (or Recent Activity table on your Account Overview) for this transaction, then I don't think you have the option to cancel it. View the transaction's details to see if there is a Refund link at the bottom. (If not, you can refund it after it clears, and any fee charged to your account for the payment would be refunded.)

that's what i've done in the past, but i was hoping there was a way to get it out of my system and cancel the purchase without having it lingering in my account for a week.. but i went into my history and the action box is blank.

why wouldn't paypal have an option to deny echeck's from people before they cleared? makes no sense.

Not long ago I had eCheck payment by my regular customer, who alerted me later, that he has closed his bank account. I posted a refund to his pending eCheck. Never had a problem.
