Hi everyone,

I have a dedicated server but use a secure server service for collecting payment details for the websites I run. I have had some trouble with the secure server going down due to "upgrading" recently which basically stops anyone buying off the sites.

These are quite low margin high volume sites so people not being able to buy is a real concern.

Does anyone know what is required to run a secure server? Costs? and can I run it on my current dedicated server?

Thanks everyone

all that's required is an ssl cert. once you register it with iis, you should be all set. I've used Thawte and have had a good experience with them. I think the prioce was $70 per year, but they had different rates depending on how many years you bought one for.
