I think it does well. I've seen some that sell knockoffs do well. Also others that are unique designs do well too. Upscale and leather bags is where you'll make your money though. Good luck

They are definately in demand. I put a related item on my website and it gets alot of traffic. But it may be starting to get saturated with everyone chasing the same nickel.

Already is saturated BUT: tons of affiliates and folks who ride out the keyword without really offering rare designer handbags (which is, if I understand my wife correctly, what gal's are looking for when they type that in).
Also: you need to find a way to focus: either you go for knock-off (almost impossible to compete) or the real thing. In that case you might want to think about long term branding strategies and stickinness etc.
