hi there people :-)

we seem to be getting more and more AVS results from worldpay that simply say "not supported" or "not checked"...

what does this mean - why are they not getting checked?

its really bad because it means that a fraudulent transaction could easily slip through - meaning we will lose out!

is this the fault of worldpay or is it the banks?

anyone else finding this situation?

cheers in advance for your comments

I believe it is the fault of the banks. Either they do not support the AVS checks or the bank data centre could not be contacted at the time of the transaction.

Worldpay can only do AVS checks on credit cards issued by UK banks.

However, you can request a manual AVS check known as "Code 10" by writing to code10@worldpay.com

with the transaction no. and the invoice address and postcode of the customer.

ahhh

so these AVS failures would be the same no matter which PSP you use?

yes we do code 10's on the phone orders we take. Its just an indian call center affair -

That is definitely a handy tip - thanks a lot :-D
