how much does it cost you to make each transaction (sale) on your site when you factor in development, hosting, technical team salaries, server equipment etc.

Is there a proper name for this metric?

I'd be interested to hear rough costs from ecommerce managers who have 3-4 full timers involved in it's operation.

Thanks!

There is no answer to your question. Per transaction cost is relative to the number of transactions there are in a timeframe. If we only have 1 transaction thoughout the wholemonth then your answer would be something like $25,000.00 per sale.

Your fix & variable cost always fluctuates as you plot them on a graph vs transactions because the total output of your production capacity is relative to the # of transaction per month.

Sorry the mba of me kicked in.
