Mailing Affiliate Check to China

Any potential problems?

One of my affiliates is based in China and cannot use PayPal to receive my affiliate payments. He is requesting payment by check, which I am about to agree to...

Does anyone perceive any potential problems with this?

I send from the Uk an envelope with cash in inside to a supplier in China, it always gets there.

The address is written in English too, quite impressive really.

There is nothing wrong at all with the postal system in China. More often than not it is whether you should trust the person whom you are sending money to.

Business moral ethics in China is pretty damn low. Seriously.

Thats true, I placed a sample order onceso teh firm sent me top grades in have the total crap.

I rang to find out what was going on only to be told we wanted toknow what grade youd accept.

I.e If I had not complained theyd have dumped the crap on me.

Oddly enough I never ordered from them.

I assume you mean whether or not there is a problem cashing checks in China since you can always send the letter registered mail to prevent loss.

Cashing checks in China isn't as convenient as in the States. First of all, there is at least a 30 day hold for the check to clear. Many times the hold is 3 months to 6 months. This applies even to money orders or cashiers checks.

Not every bank can accept the check. Those that can will charge a $3.00 check processing fee.

I am in China.I remember one of our buyer sent us a check($15.60),We send it to a bank to cashing.It cost us $5.00 and wait 30 days.But after 30 days.The bank told me.They can not cashing the check.And told me I need send this check to another bank......In the end,I get nothing ;(
