The below is from an email with Worldpay Asia-Pacific sales rep. According to him WP Asia doesn't accept Switch, Solo, Electron and the other debit cards that the Worldpay website claims to.

As Worldpay also has a Japan and China branch (site only?) can an Asian merchant confirm this is indeed the case for the whole of Asia. And is there a way round this restriction short of setting up and EU based company to get the correct domicile.

Any advice?

"However, we only deal with credit cards acceptance (Visa and MasterCard)

We are not as huge as our WorldPay UK headquarters where they service all
merchants in the UK and European region.

Their acceptance of cards range from credit to debit as well.

Due to the fact that your 'company' is located in Taiwan, you will have to
liase with us but we do not process debit cards."

I can confirm this. Worldpay will only accept Visa debit cards issued in your own country.

Morover, they will not accept AE and Diners cards directly. You have to open an account with AE and Diners and then ask Worldpay to act as your third party gateway.
