Or maybe this is part of a trend towards the tightening of all credit card acceptance programmes (for want of a better term.

Quite a few on mentioned here appear to be tightening their customer profiles.

Perhaps they're worried about a legal attack like on tobacco and fast food. Credit Card companies are facilitating illegal adult content.

Regardless, this is not going away. You might as well outlaw the internet itself.

All this is going to do is make it viable for alternative payment gateways to set up shop.
