So, we can reach to the conclusion that paying per click companies should offer an option since a click is more valuable on monday than it is on sunday (at least for me)...
Well, it might not be important at a low amount of clicks and costs per click, but I thought this comment could be worth reading for some of you.
Also, it can be interesting to compare different conversion by dates and sectors so that we can maybe find some valuable conclusions.
Luis.
Lots of people who buy from us use their works email. I think Mondays people are still keen to do their job, but by Wednesday, they are browsing the web. On friday everyone just wants to go home, so conversion and sales fall. Interestingly so does average time on site, which is also highest on Wednesday.
Just our figures...
Within all of your users, there maybe several different segments that each have their own conversion rates. Once you have properly identified your segments, look at when they visit the site. Its entirely possible that your higher converting segments visit the site at different times than your lower converting segments, and this explains why some days convert better than others.
Pay per click traffic could be its own segment that converts better than free traffic and on Mondays, a lot more of your traffic is free than PPC.
