please help... I bought two identical laptops TOSHIBA Sat Pro 470cdt for wife and self also bought several extra HD's as you can slip them in and out of the front real quick, anyway if one goes down or grandkids mess it up I could slip in the backup HD..now the question.. how do I make several back up HD's identical to the original using Win2000.
I have a portable USB HD inclosure and a adapter that will connect the HD to the laptops or to my desktop but it is runnning XP
Also where do you get the service pack updates on cd?
I have kept one HD updated when I had access to a hi speed connection but the other one is not updated.
Please help
THANKS

Hi Sam, welcome to WebmasterWorld!

It sounds like you need a backup solution, so I would check the newsgroups (or Google "laptop backup solutions") as what you need is not really 'web-centric' --although we should ALL be backing up our drives!

Good luck!

You need to get some hd cloning software, there's plenty to choose from. I did a quick search, loads in the $50 range.

Try drive-backup.com, they look to be good.
