beside Google, overture, bizrate, shopping.com, shopping.yahoo.com, affiliate program, what else?

I spend $600/day in Google, overture, bizrate, shopping.com, and shopping.yahoo.com. too expensive, and the conversion rate is not satisfactory.

I use share-a-sale for affiliate program, but so far I don't have even one powerful affiliat. How do you guys recruit affiliates? Is darkblue good?

how do you draw traffic to your site?

Have you tried any of the smaller PPCs?

Is your site optimised for search engines?

The service from Darkblue is exceptional. They do not charge you a single cent in terms of fees and you can even earn some money from them as a merchant. However, you should not expect too much traffic. Apparently, they automaticlly become an affiliate through their pageseeker engine and you will get conversions. That seems to be a way through which they make money.

We also get a few conversions through clixgalore but that took over a year. After giving a lot of thought, I don't think we should take the risk with Commission Junction at the moment.

As far as the smaller PPCs are concerned, you must set up a track their results carefully.

Of the smaller PPCs, there are 2 which are giving us quite a fair bit of traffic at the moment: Industry Brains and Roar. With Industry Brains, you can control exactly on which site your ad appears althougth some of the bids are very expensive. Roar is also given some traffic but it is too early to tell whether it and Industry Brains are effective.

Smaller PPCs are a waste. Most of the traffic is ghost traffic. Very disappointing ROI.

I have only been with Industry Brains and Roar for a a week and there had been no conversions so far. However, this is the same case with other smaller PPCs such as Looksmart, Kanoodle, and Findwhat.

I am using Iqramedia ROI manager but this was probably my last choice. I was forced to use it because no other tracker except lightning track will work with Worldpay. My first choice would have been dynatracker even though it does not support split-testing. You will find more recommendations at.

Concerning the smaller PPCs, I think you have to keep an open mind when you compare their conversion rates with Google and Overture. The reason is that the traffic you get would likely be for low-converting general search terms only. One should really compare the conversion rates for the same search term across different search engines.

Since I have only set up tracking for a week, hopefully I will get a better idea in a couple of months.

I sign up with kanoodle two days ago, with 400 clicks so far but no order at all. but it's too early to say anything.
