Sites similar to mine sell a biology dictionary, and some of these offer complete or limited use online.
I also have an online dictionary, which I have spent alot of time on, and contains almost 2000 terms relevant to my site.
I want to turn the Access database I use to run it on to a product - the dictionary of CD-ROM
I am unsure how i can 'translate' this access database i use into a CD-ROM format where the dictionary can still be searched (and the surrounding template i.e. the design around the content)
Since Im no expert, I use Frontpage2000 to create my site and use ASP to access an MS2000 database
Im eager to hear suggestions as to how I can put this dictionary on my site into a CD-ROM I can sell to visitors of my site!
Will be here waiting for replies! The more info / suggestions / imagination the better
What I did was to "capture" a static version using a website downloader, perhaps like the one that hit you the otherday, and then used a Web Compiler to package the result into a stand alone application.
This way, the online dynamic version still kicks along, and by compiling the CDrom version you can protect your code and even your content if you wish. Seems to work well.

Woz
Thats not a problem....
Like I said, using Access 2000 database for the dictionary, if selling the contents of it Im sure the buyer expects something more presentable than an Access 2000 table (if they even have the software to run it!!)
this is my main prob for getting it on to CD-ROM
I could always create an "A-Z" of HTML files but im interested in any other possible way
