I did a survey on my visitors about what payment options they prefer. Turned out money order and "cash" are right up there along with credit card. I realize it could involve alot of "manual labour" work. Any of you have a system in place for accepting money order and cash?

On the checkout payment screen, we have an option to pay offline, which means the order is on hold until we receive a check.

In the e-mail receipt, we include a duplicate of instructions on where to send a check or a money order, and have a responser reminding the customer to mail a check if we haven't recevied it in 10 days.

With such system in place, I could not say that we get a lot of orders where people want to pay offline.
And of those that we do get, only about 30% end up actually mailing a check.

Thats my experience too.

As of yet Ive never received a cheque in the post from a customer so when I hear it asked its of course I will and think no more about it.

I guess people would ask always ask for more features but that doesn't mean they will actually use it. That probably explains the results of my survey.
