PayPal customer's emails bouncing- What's up?

Don't they need to provide good addresses?

Just wondering if anyone else is getting this- lately when I reply to customers who have paid through paypal to tell them their product is shipping I am having their emails bounce back saying the email address is not valid.

I thought PayPal checked emails before accepting payments? How come this keeps happening- at least once a day, and from all kinds of emails, not just AOL and the free ones?

I've had one or two like that - a customer who'd entered a valid email on my site and mis-typed the same email with paypal so I could clearly see they'd made a mistake. Very strange isn't it. I added an email to my account yesterday and did still have to confirm it.
