PayPal Shopping Cart / AOL 9.0 bug?

Problem where AOL 9.0 browsers don't see "continue shopping" button.

I have been working on a an e-commerce enabled site using a homebrewed shopping cart, (PERL / CGI scripts), and PayPal's payment features for credit card and PayPal payments.

After adding an item to the PayPal cart, you usually see a screen listing the ordered item(s) along with three buttons, "Update Cart", "Continue Shopping", and "Checkout".

Everything works great for everyone EXCEPT, for some reason, the "Continue Shopping" button does not appear to user's with AOL 9.0, (does work with 8.0- and MSIE, etc).

The "Continue Shopping" link on PayPal's screen appears to be a javascript that; 1). minimizes the payment window and, 2). returns the user to the window/page they were on.

AOL says "they know of the problem", but no mention of how many people it effects or if it can be / will be fixed on their end.

Questions:

- Does either of these actions conflict with some "pop-up control" or other setting in AOL 9.0?

- Are there any user settings in 9.0 that could be reset?

Anyone got any ideas?... AOL experts? PayPal people?

This is a known issue. The AOL version of IE appears to be implementing JavaScript or the DOM differently from the regular IE. We (PayPal) are working on a fix on our end.

Thanks. AOL explained it (to my customer) as a (known) VPN tunnel problem that would get "bumped up to a technician"... I assumed that meant AOL wanted a slice of pie... <g>.

Any timeframe?
