Hello,

We have a few sites doing costume jewelry. While Nov/Dec sales have been strong, all sites have been dead since Dec 23th.

How are you guys doing here?

Yep I sell toys and games, took £7000 12/11 through 30/12. From 1st of Jan to today £75....

I was starting to think it was just me, viewing figures down 75%.

Anyone else?

It is a big relief to know that I'm not alone. From your past experience, when should I expect sales to pick up again?

Some people are saying Jan trend are at the level of Nov or even better at other forums... this really make me wonder if it is my problem..

The hard thing for me is to fight the urge to curb my Adwords and Overture spending at this time. I have to remind myself that people are bookmarking the site (which means sales ahead) and that advertising is an ongoing process. But it's frustrating, nevertheless.

We have been quiet - this happens every year for us! It's so regular I can almost set my watch with it.

Once the pay cheques come in there should be a few more sales, hopefully!

I'm really surprised - still been doing around 10 sales a day since Christmas - I thought it would drop right off.

We were down about 50% overall but it is starting to pick back up. January 20th should bring it all back to around September levels.

Seasonal sites are down about 95% but even those have started to pick up.

Here is a representative page which is non-seasonal:

Conversion way way down, but the visitors remain the same with december. Page views vary from 4 per to 2 per.

I guess it is a good time for a post valentine's day review.

Our products are highly seasonal. Our sales figures are closed if not slightly exceeding christmas. Mostly due to higher overture/google bids and MORE inventory/styles.

Sales has been taking a nose dive right after Valentine. How are you guys doing?

Sales are up since the holidays and increasing.

Unfortuntely, our production capability is flat so we've been turning off adwords for ~50% of the month.

With luck, we'll have increased production by April and these lost opportunities will be nothing but a bad dream. ;)
