Double Sales in the last week.

Increasing Sales at the end of the Month, is that just me or is that common

Is there a general increase in sales during the last week of the month? I have the experience that the earnings are double in the last week of a month then in the 1 st and 2nd week of the month.

Anybody experience with this, or good facts or figures.
Has it anything to do with people getting their checks?

Thanks in advance!

This is exactly reverse for us, especially for higher priced items. Our sales for the first half of the month are much higher than for the second half.

I think that many of our customers splash out on non-essential items after receiving their pay check, but then curtail their spending at the end of the month.

Does by the way your traffic data stay the same? I see on our sites that the traffic is the same only the conversion changes through the month.

I guess there is a patern going on...

Our traffic stays the same throughout the month. There is also another marked pattern to our sales: they are very weak over the weekend, but attain a maximum on either Wednesday or Thursday. We are going to target our PPC advertising accordingly.

I have found that weak weekend sales are a reflection of the type of ISP service the bulk of america has. Dial Up.

You can see a steady click through on the CPC's, but a drop in sales on the weekends. This is (for us) then countered by one or two very big sales days early in the week as the customers go back to work where they have access to broadband. The real value of CPC click-through rates can only be determined a few days after the fact.

I did not think of that yet, derekwong28. It is a good idea to focus on these periods with additional sales and ppc advertising. I look forward to see what that will bring in sales.
