I spoke with someone today who uses miva's entire storefront package with their storefront look on his website pages. I asked him if his pages where indexed in google. He said that he pays google $150 per year to make sure they get indexed. That way he doesn't have to deal with the problem of google being unable to properly index sites using miva shopping cart.

Before you ask me why I would consider miva... It's because I've read many of the shopping cart threads and I don't think I have the time to learn enough about programming to use oscommerce and some of the other carts. I was also looking for a cart to incorporate into my pages.

I've never heard of such a service. AFAIK, for organic search, there is no feed for main Google...

... unless he's talking about Froogle, and having someone construct a feed for Froogle for his store. Do you have any more details?

Amy,
The person that told you they paid Google to spider his Miva cart was blowing smoke.

Yes, Google will spider the new Miva Merchant with some simple modifications. As to weather or not the pages will show up in the top 10 spots is all about how competitive the search terms are.
You could possibly hit #1 with a Miva page for the search term "Widgets of Arcadia" but never for just plain "Widgets".
