I'm thinking of renaming my business, to seperate me from a partner in an existing busines - kinda creating a side company

New company will be pretty much based around building and hosting eccomerce sites.

We'll be working mainly in our home county, so i was thinking of calling it:

<county name> ecom or something similar. Do you think this would be appropriate. I just did a look up on dictionary.com to check it didn't have a hidden meaning (obvioulsy i mean it to be shorthand for eccomerce) and it pointed me at an acronym: "Electronic Computer Originated Mail"

Any views?

Thanks for your opinions :)

I think it should be ok.
I've seen it used many times as the names of companies.

I don't believe anyone has heard of "Electronic Computer Originated Mail" so that aspect should have no bearing on the business.

Hello,

Well, as long as you don't live in some county called Butte, in that case use ecall.

I think you want something remarkable, else people may not remember it easily. There was a trend there for a while to invent obscure names that were short and perky.

So give a good objective cosmetic glance at it all run together, make sure it flies.
