Hello Leon,

I read somewhere that it will be in April of this year.

This article [domain-registry.nl] (in Dutch) from the Dutch 'nic' was published on 28/03/2002 mentioning the European parlement finally giving the go ahead for the .eu top level domain. The article says it should take about 15 months before registrations are possible, so that would be june of this year if they are right and on schedule.

They will almost certainly be late. None of the registrars are hyping them up yet.

I read somewhere that the earliest that the .eu registry should be up and running will be in July. Though any offers for pre-registration of .ue domains is bogus and should be avoided at this point.

I think we can all agree that it will either be April, June or July, but possibly later.
