I followed the instructions to the letter which mainly consisted of changing the DNS from
ns.oldhost.net
ns2.oldhost.net
to
ns.newhost.net
ns2.newhost.net
After 4 days now I can finally reach the site on the new host by typing in myname.com, but when I type in www.myname.com it still takes me to the site on the old host.
My question is, Is this a temperary condition or will the www.myname.com URL eventually take me to the new host?
Also the reseller acount uses the ensim control panel.

But I'm having this problem now with several domains.
I though it may have been my browser not refreshing the page but I went so far as to delete all the cookies, temparary internet files, and history.
Then I tried accessing the sites from two different pc's each from a different IP address.
I can go to the site on the new host a few times then the same URL will start taking me to and error page on the old host.
Is that the nature of newly moved sites are did I do something or fail to do something wrong?
Nervous wreak
I may have completely lost the plot here.
but could it be that the www version is "Cached" by your isp, so even though you have cleared everything (cookies etc) the ISP is still showing the old version.
stranger things have happened.
Shak
Now that you mention my ISP I'm thinking maybe there's a delay in my isp's DNS servers sycronizing(sp). One server has the new host address and the other server still has the old host "cached" and due to server load my internet connection is switching between the two?
Does that make any sense?
