Hello,

For the first time, i am changing servers for one of my sites. So i have changed the DNS for that site.

The propogation is yet to complete!
But when i check the whois for my domain, it says :

DNS server(s) info not avaliable

Is this a common behavious of whois?

But yes, the site is viewable!

Thanks
:)

That is very strange behavior. Whois Records should have the proper DNS servers well before the root zone does. Whois Records are just local information that is easily displayed, nothing complex there. You might want to ask your registrar's support department what that means if it doesn't go away tomorrow.

I too just went through this over the Thanksgiving Day weekend. The Whois information was empty in regards to the DNS Servers. I think there is a slight lag while propagating, not sure though. All turned out well after about 55 hours of propagation.

Thanks Lisa,

Now the New DNS is propogated, and it shows the new DNS entries for my domain!

I was wondering, yesterday when it said no DNS info was avaliable, looks like others also had same results!

Thanks much
