[iis.se...]

It may be in swedish, but the main thing is that private persons will be able to register .se domains, even though companys have the first ching.

You will also be able to register 2 characther domains.

The .SE domain doesn't have to reflect the company name anymore, and companies can register more than 1 domain.

The new regulations will start in April 2003

Strange indeed. I am a private person and I have had three .dk domains for more than two years. Why is it different in Sweden?

It used to be like this too in Denmark, but it was changed several years ago. Once it was really restrictive in .dk. One domain per client, it had to reflect company name or main product, ...

I think Sweden, has one of the strictest domain regulations on the net, but we have had domains for a long time now, i remember one .se domain was registered 1984.

The swedish Internet Infrastructure Foundation (II-stiftelsen) now offers some translated documents about the new regulations:
[iis.se...]

The iis is going to conduct the changes beginning of April.

Have a look at the docs. Short version: everybody will be able to register domains under the swedish ccTLD.
