determining ownership of a domain if registrant does not exist

If the registrant of a domain is non existant, how is ownership determined?

The registrant name of a domain name I registered is a company that does not exist. I was planning to incorporate the company after registering the domain, but due to a number of reasons we decided against it. Now a couple of years later WHOIS still shows the non existant company as the the registrant. I want to know who is the legal owner of the domain name now?

You are.

I assume you registered it at NetSol. I havent dealt with them for a long long time but they used to want 200 bucks or something ridiculous to transfer the ownership (registrant) of a domain.

>>>The registrant name of a domain name I registered is a company that does not exist

Hehe...I'll have to try that sometime.

If you're the admin contact and it's NetSol transfer to a different registrar, one that actually answers email by a human being if there's a tough question.

Thanks for the replies.

Yes I did register it on NETSOL.

Which registrar would you all suggest I transfer the domains to?
Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Thanks.
