Hi everyone,
Got question about redirection of second domain name. I've got two domain names one is hosted by one of the hosting company (mydomain.com.au) and the other one is parked somewhere (myhosting.com.). How do I redirect the ".com" to the one that is currently hosted by the hosting company in Autralia? Is it a matter of assigning the Australian hosting company DNS1 & DNS2 to ".COM" domain? Thanks in advance.

Welcome jperet

If I'm reading it right you simply want the visitors to the one site to land at the other. Just add this to your .htccess file.

Redirect 301 / [yourdomaintoforwardtohere.com...]

How about when people don't want to get hosting for the second one, but just want it pointed to the same website? In those cases there's no 301 redirect available.

there are some registrars that do free 302 (not sure how that differs from a 301) redirects without hosting, as long as the name is registered with them.

the one i use also gives you a free web page, which is prob how they do the free redirect.
