Is there a site which does reverse searching of domains. i.e. enter a name and it lists all the sites registered to that person?

It would be a useful tool though.

Often thought that would be handy, but how about finding a list of domains listed on a virtual server. That Must be fairly straightforward, if beyond me. say you know the IP is:

[202.98.213.80...] (cannot be found when I looked)

Can you look up all the domains on that virtual server? It would be nearly the same thing for some people.

I'd be willing to bet that Google has the ability to do it!

For a start try ATW advanced search.

The ATW, only works for sites that are listed in their database.

I have a site on shared hosting, but when I use the ip range, it gives no results.

Hmmm, I wonder what a service that can give you all this information would cost? Frank, what would you expect to pay?

pay? you gotta be jokin!

In my role of investigative journalism I often have to hunt down sites registered to certain people.

It's not easy, but if paying for the information, well that would take the fun out of it I guess.

You would need the zone files for it I think.

You can find my .com domains by connecting to the central shared registry maintained by Network Solutions. www.nsiregistry.com , it was earlier called as network solutions registry.
To find out the domains registered by the person type "NAME LASTNAME,FIRSTNAME"
Often this method is known to work but not always...you can try it out. Also This method always works if you have registered your name with netsol within past 3 months.
