Where to host a domain.ca name?

Is there a benefit to hosting on a Canadian server?

I recently acquired the domain.ca version of my domain.com. Is there any benefit to hosting with a Canadian company on a Canadian server? Does it matter when I submit it to Yahoo or Google?
or Yahoo.ca or Google.ca?

If you have a domain.ca it doesn't matter where in the world you host it. If Google.ca knows about it they will use it for the Canadian search.
