Hi there.
I don't want to use and domains in this post but a member of these forums runs a web directory on a .co.uk domain and it is a high quality site with good content (no problems with the members site) but what I noticed by mistake this evening is that if you go to the .com site by error you get the redirected to the German homepage of a large tobacco company. Ok the directory site contains the word "south" in it's name the tobacco company used a totally different direction on the compass (don't want to be more specific) but how do they justify this...

I think that tobacco companies should be limited to domains that are their trade name...

What does everyone else think about this???

That's an odd one.

They're limited in there advertising to varying degrees in varying countries but how could you regulate the domains?

Only if each individual country or group of countries (europe) decided to do so.

I think they should be banned from having any kind of promotional material whatsoever but how to do it?
