free com domain brand already exists

i looked for a new com-domain. i was happy to found a nice word1word2.com domain.

unfortunately in brand database i found that the name "word1 word2" is protected. the product is realy old and obsolete and from an other country.

all tlds are not in use on word1word2

would you recommend starting up with such a name?

Go for it. 90% of domains are never used. Likewise trademarks come and go. If you want to use word1word2 and no one stops you... Then you now have a good case to do so.

If word1 and word2 are generic I don't see any problems.

thanks for the really quick answer. the words are generic, i think i will go for it :)

I found it as a US Federal Trademarks. on a free trademark research, but the product is arround 15 years old and really obsolete.

word1 has 2,500,000 and word2 6,000,000 and together(not quoted) arround 40,000 googleresults

so i think its a good one
