.EU pre-registrations?

I'm wondering whether anyone has had experience of attempting to pre-register .EU domains & if so, who have you gone through?

I know the registry won't be live for a while yet, but haveto look into the possibilities...joy of joys.

I think that is a little early, ICANN has not official authorized the creation.

One of the Directors received a mail from a company offering to pre-reg .eu domains (http://www.eu-domain.biz/english) and was keen to go for some, although the site itself offers very little information on the company themselves.

It's a case of stuck between a rock and a hard place - they want to pre-register some domains, but I've no intention of dealing with a company I know so little about and aren't forthcoming with information.

The critical point here is not lack of information on registrants, but lack of information on the when, how, where of the eu domain itself.

The plan is to make the .eu a very open TLD, available for all EU citizens. But ICANN has not finally approved yet.

There are several registrants offering "preregistration" - none of those can really guarantee anything.
