However, they are also extremely expensive compared to other registrars.
I am thinking of switching our domain names away from NetSol
What I wanted to ask was:
- does the registrar you use affect the speed at which your site is accessed from the browser? (do cheaper companies have slightly slower forwarding?)
- are there any possible "security" issues relating to smaller and cheaper companies?
- finally, what would happen to our domain names if a company went out of business? That is, of course, a major concern to us.
Thank you :)

All Registrars use a centralized name resolving scheme. There are 13 master computers in the world that do this resolving.
So you should not have a problem with another registrar.
In my personal experience, you can find a lot better security with some of the cheaper registrars. I hear more complaints about NetSol then any other company.
If you domain name company goes out of business their is a plan in place (per ICANN) that will transition your domain to a new company), You don't have to worry about that.
