However I can see that it could get messy keeping track of things with different domains at varying registrars.
I have been looking for One Good Registrar with reasonable prices.
I stumbled across http://www.domainnamebuyersguide.com who review some of the registrars and also have users warnings about unsatisfactory dealings.
They have three lists:- best price, best legal position and best overall. A site from France, www.gandi.net, seems to come out on top:- top legally, top price (US$12 per year) and third overall.
They also include some freebies such as one email redirection and URL redirction.
As we have rather an eclectic membership here I thought I would ask if anyone has had any dealings with them, good bad or otherwise.
Or failing that, who do you think is the best registrar and why.
Of course this also begs the question of "should we put all our domains with one registrar?", ie, all our eggs in one basket. What if the registrar goes under?
Any thoughts?

True bill, but then I take the view that a company's foyer (lobby for those across the pond, and Internet Start Page for us all) is not necessarily indicative of the service of the company and so this may be a good thing.
They seem to me to have a very good no-nonsense business sense.
Any other views anyone??
What about "all you domains in one basket (registrar)"???

Great Prices,
Slow to update,
Greate Prices.
A horrible interface.
Great Prices,
Refund on domains deleted within 3days.
Great Prices.
I have not used Gandi.net, but I do have some clients into them.
As far as putting everything in one basket, I think as long as you stick with one of the approved sellers, there should be no problem. They all had to put up $100grand US to get into the game.
