redirecting

system down?

I have a domain name that I decided to use for my business and it is not my original domain, so it is redirected to my original domain name but I noticed now that Register.com's system server is down (again), so redirect is not working. Is a big company as Register.com having "server unavailable" that normal so many times ( twice so far )?????

Why can't you park the new name at your host pointed at your current site? Why have a redirect with a 3rd party at all?

Because my host will charge me $10.00 per month for each pointer, plus an initial set up fee. No charge for that at Register.com. It turns out that my comp (because of some unknown glitch) was not allowing me to view certain sites and I thought my redirected site was not working, since I could not bring it up. I could not bring up Register.com either, so that was a coincidence. Oh well..........
