Registrar can lock your domain

Our registrar locked our domain basing on the bogus complaint (we believe it is from our rivals).

We have not even been warned about this lock action.

They deny our requests to unlock the domain, transfer it to other registrar or at least change the IP in DNS. All they reply to us is that their Senior Legal department is examining the cases so we have to wait for their reply or contact by phone

However we always get voicemail to leave our message but no one contacts us back. The lock is continuing for 3 months already.

This is a terrible service which can ruin our business and yours too. I hope that publishing of this information here will help us or at least will prevent such problem in your case.

how many forums did you post this on?

According to Google and bing, only two. Or, at least, only two that have been crawled in the last 20 hours.

I tend to doubt the registrar's name is relevant to the issue. I also tend to think that the weekend between Christmas and New Year's is not the best time to expect quick turnaround on complaints :(

The lock is continuing for 3 months already.

If this is causing you problems, I would say the time is well past to consult with a lawyer. Often, a letter from an attorney is just what is needed to get everything to quickly resolve in your favor.

If you have suffered monetary damages because of this issue, then the attorney's letter should address that fact with a deadline and statement of actions you will take if no financial settlement is received by the deadline.

But make sure you get a lawyer who is going to follow through. A lot of them will be happy to write a letter and threaten to sue. But when/if it comes time for the to do more work than just have a paralegal type up some boilerplate letter, most will probably ask for quite a bit more money.
