Are CityNameBusinessNiche domains still worth selling or developing?

Here is one of those guys that 8-10 years ago intended on developing domains for US city niches but never did.

I'm trying to decide AGAIN, whether to sell them or develop on them? (It's only about 2 dozen niches in the same city, coms and orgs)

Any ideas are appreciated.

Depending on the size of the city, competitiveness in the city's target market and related PPC costs, the robustness of the domain, aggressivenss of off-Web marketing (big billboards, etc.) and a few other variables you may see offers in the $1000, $2500, $7500 and up price ranges.

In my experience it's a very spotty market. Based on email exchanges it's clear to me people competing in the various markets are still trying to figure out how things work in the era of search, mobile, apps, local online marketing, etc. The only thing certain in the past decade has been change: the emergence of local search, the rise of apps and the latest deluge of new gTLDs.

I've dropped more than a few geo domains. About 90%+ (I haven't checked every one) have been picked up, re-registed. About half by speculators and the other half by (happy) endusers.

I also continue to hold more than a few geo-targeted domains.
