This morning we received a new product news letter saying that if we purchase the extension .ws on our domain name, that no one else can use our domain name? However, I'm thinking this means they can't use
domainname.ws but they could use domainname.org or something. Has anyone heard about this? Is this just a push to get us to buy another domain name?

Thanks
Janine

Yes.

In order to protect every possible domain extension of your company name (.ws, .org, .net, .tv, etc.), you would need to register them all.
