How would you find buyers for purchasing your domain names?

Interested to know, is there anywhere effective marketplace to find genuine buyers and sell the domains.

Most I see, are paid services, they force us to register for a hefty amount and they just list down the domain for sale and might even charge a percentage of commission, once they get a domain purchaser for the domain.

And the places, that allow free post or listing, there they don't have any traffic and people reading or visiting to purchase it.

At first, I think selling any domain name is not easy, so is it a possible thing or just a hype that genuine buyers exist for a good domain name?

Looks like "OK" to post this "general" discussion, when not mentioning or promoting any specific domain name here.

What you say is true - but the fees charged by the most reputable places are for some rather important reasons. An account establishes who you are and that you do own the domain you wish to sell. An escrow account protects the buyer and seller from transaction difficulties that could be very costly. They do attract genuinely interested people who are interested in purchasing domains and able to complete a transaction that doesn't end with an agreement seeking some way to effect a payment. The fees aren't just to list a domain but know all the ins and outs of domain transactions.

One other option that just occurred to me is that many registrars will try to help you find a buyer for the domains you have registered with them. I never looked into this, but have seen it listed as an option. Take a look around your registrar's site. My guess is that this service is not for high value domain names.

Thanks, this is really a good option. I have simple good names, but nothing developed :) so it may be low value.

Yeah, registrar can act as safeguard to escrow payments and domain ownership transfer. Let me check with my current provider, if they help me sell out domains, it will be great.
