Does domain age matter in SEO?

hi all,

I just purchased a premium domain (registered in 1995) and noticed once I uploaded content the website showed up on the search for example.com

My other domains wouldn't show up immediately especially not until I would submit it to Google and also create a backlink.

Just my observation. Any opinions on that? Anyone experience something similar?

but previously I just googled: www.example.com

Age does matter, it's one of the 200+ signals in the G algo... but what that weight is none of us know. :)
