DomainValue based on Keyword CPC

hi all,

I was wondering if there is any correlation between Keyword CPC and the value of the domain Keyword.com ? (using keyword as an example)

I did a search on a specific keyword through Google Adwords and noticed a high CPC.

I also noticed the Keyword.com has been parked for several years. Would it make sense to purchase it? If so, is there any general formula to know the domains value based on CPC?

Would Google really pay the "CPC" listed for having the domain name or are there other factors such as Page Rank and back links etc?

Would simply purchasing the domain and parking it generate the same amount for every click?

My biggest question would be whether the domain would be likely to get natural type-ins. Some keyword combinations are a lot more conducive to that than others.

If yes, then buying the domain might indeed be a useful idea, depending on the cost.

Nope, not ever.

The first reason is that Google would be taking their own cut from every click before they paid you.

Another reason, which people who don't advertise with AdWords might not know, is that advertisers don't always get charged the full amount that they're bidding. The cost of clicks can vary if advertisers come and go, and can sometimes be discounted significantly if your ads get a better clickthrough rate than the competition.

The biggest factors would be how many advertisers were competing to appear on that keyword. Who is in the auction and how much are they bidding?

Well I doubt it will receive lots of type in traffic however, cant we send little traffic from other sites?

Also, if that's the case, wouldn't I be better off purchasing the Keyword.net or .org version?

Well aren't title and keywords on a website and backlinks and content on a page, factors that determine what ads should appear on a page?

If I park the domain, are ads appearing on the page only based on the domain name since there is no content?

There is an auction of a keyword with a CPC of $4-6 dollars. It is a popular phrase and the domain has been registered since 95. I would like to know roughly how much the domain would be worth?

Would it make sense to purchase the domain, park and then send little traffic considering I would be getting roughly $4-6 clicks?

I believe the domain does receive type in traffic however a little extra traffic wouldn't hurt either.

There can be a significant difference between what advertisers are paying for clicks in the SERPs and what anyone may earn from parking revenue. Do not believe one predicts the other.
