How to Check the Reputation of Registrars Other Than The Big Players?

Want to register domains in multiple ccTLDs without using one big registrar.

I'm trying to register a domain for 4 european countries.
I found that I can do it with a big provider like godaddy for example.
But godaddy is not registered as "authorized" in the nic country listing, nic.fr, nic.at...etc
What does it means? He is just a reseller?

The question is because I found many others providers that can handle all the domains that I need but I can't check their reputation.
On the other hand, the nic listing seems to show only local providers and I don't want to end up 10 different registrations...

Any other way of checkin a registrar reputation?

Aren't people who register domain names "of the kind" capable of trashing the online reputation of bad companies?

Most times I will conclude that the "absence of a bad (online) reputation" -> for example, no forum posts flaming CompanyX, no A-ZRipOffReport filed, no rants on blogs, etc. -> is a sign that CompanyX at least handles the basics well.
