new TLD's

Has anyone heard anything about a new domain .tec ?

A client of mine is under the impression it's about to be launched but I've not heard anything

I've not heard of it and I can't find any information on it (nothing on the major domain registries). I might be interested in one if they do become available but this is the first I've heard about them..

I think it was maybe wishful thinking by the client but I was interested to hear if anyone knew of anything before I told the client he was wrong.

I hate it when clients prove you wrong :)
