Tracking Domain Owner

There is a local person (UK) with a spoof website. No one knows who he/she is. I have looked on a Whios website and found the company that hosts the site. Is there a way for me to find out the owner another way. It would be quite a revelation if i could.

on the nominet web site (www.nic.uk) it should tell you who the domain owner is. This is the legal registrant of the name although this is usually just a name with no contact details.. As far as I know there is not other way short of contacting the ISP who hosts the site and asking them but I would expect them to keep that kind of information confidential..
