Hi Guys,
I plan to Launch new products working with the Taiwan manufacture who I License to and the Holland (Dutch) Importer.

We are looking into having the brand domain only

www.brandname.com

no other reference to trademarks or copyrights

So the new product box will have the domain as the brand this is for Europe, this way the end user can search that domain and find out the new products coming under that domain brand as I call it

Regards
Derek Pater

Hi Derek. Welcome to WebmasterWorld.

I'm not sure, so I'm asking: Are YOU asking a question or simply declaring "This is what I'm going to do"?

I'm having trouble seeing where the thread you have started "goes as a conversation".

Assuming that your domain name does not infringe anyone else's trademark this should be ok. You should use the TM mark when appropriate (but not the (R) mark).

However, if, for example, someone decided to print and sell T-shirts with your domain name on, you might find it difficult to stop them so, registering a trademark may still be sensible.

Hi Kaled,
Thanks for your reply, this is for a new Hand tool Brand in Hardware Stores.

Yes I will use TM like you said, but I will be careful to keep TM away from the Domain Names it' self

I get the Taiwan Manufactures to pay for Patents and tooling

and just trying to reduce I.P cost's, also this name cannot be trademarked

If I am successful with this method I will post links to the new products in Europe, this could change the playing field, because the Domain its self could be the key

Thanks!
