Anyone know how to point a new domain name at the exact same server where an existing site is hosted?
Thanks in advance

Are you wanting this new domain to show exactly the same contents, or another site hosted on the same server? For SEO purposes having two domains with exactly the same contents is not advisable.
Is the existing site using host headers?
Answers to the above two questions will determine some things as there are various options.
Have the A host record point to the same IP Have the CNAME record point to the other domain Use redirects or rewrites.

Most domain name registrars' control panel allow you to do this for free through "url forwarding", some may charge a few Dollars a year and you may need to ask your registrar to do it for you.
Ensure you forward the name with and without the www prefix.
