Well, according to neulevel, we have about 4 hours to go before they "go live"!

I am still waiting on a startup URL. No word yet.

What do you think? Will they "go live" on time?

I have been on most of the registrar sites from neulevel.biz/partners/registrars.html this morning and found no way to check available .biz names.
Most of these sites, by the way, are very poor updated. They are still announcing the big October launch and "COMING IN SEPTEMBER"....
I hope they have been better handling our pre-registrations.

Thanks for the reminder, I had "get biz domain" buried somewhere on the to-do list. I used netsol and got the one I needed.

I hope so too! I have multiple applications and a trademark claim on one particular URL. It seems that these URLs have NOT been added into the whois yet! I had to wait a month until I could use my .info names. I wonder how long it will take before I know if I get what I applied for?

You can check direct with Neulevel:

Well, I guess none of these guys are updating instantly. I thought I got a new .biz earlier today from netsol.com, but it is still listed as available.

If they do it like the .info, it's not guaranteed until you receive email confirmation. Some of those confirmations took several hours on the first day.

I applied and paid for one with register.com last night, just to have them refund my money this morning.

So I guess that group 2 and 3 names will appear as available in the netsol search and people will register their *** of until Nov.19th.

Yeah, that's the way I read it. The other one I registered is likely to be in group 2. I'll guess I'll know it is if I don't get an email by tomorrow.

where is the cheapest place to register for .biz? I found US15 to be the best price so far.

and if you can recommend a free web hosting site like doteasy, that does register .biz now, let me know too. doteasy biz registration is not up yet.

Cool!! I got the confirmation email today. I am amazed that URL wasn't taken. It's the 2nd best for the wholesale business:)

You might try GoDaddy.com. They also do hosting I believe.

Be careful about transfers...Most that I've seen will only transfer from NetSol.

Peter_C, welcome to WmW. I don't know about doteasy, though I do know others here have mentioned using them. Even though they're more expensive (and I do register a couple of dozen domains from time-to-time), I stick with netsol only because I've had a few theft attempts thwarted by their system of email notification. That said, we try to stay away from naming specific companies other than those that are assumed to be general public knowledge because it makes the threads vulnerable to spamming.

I did tried godaddy as suggested but the site is missing.

i need to registed it soon so that i dont miss out on my name. btw im quite a newbie at this, can someone explain to me what is hidden trick behind registering my domain with one company and later transfering it to my host that also sells domain names. I dont understand much of these stuff so details would help.

dont i own the name once i register it? and cant i move it wherever i want it later on?
