Welcome to WebmasterWorld Guest from 18.104.22.168
It says that I am not able to transfer cause .tel is a new TLD.
What are my options? I do not want to pay another $45/yr for each of my .tel domains.
If I am not able to transfer, how am I able to sell? hmmmm.....I am assuming the transfer can only be done within the same registrar!
Then when I click on Unavailable for transfer i get this message:
Unavailable To Transfer
The domain name you entered may be unavailable for online transfer for one of the following reasons:
The extension for the domain name transfer you requested prevents this transfer from being done automatically. Only transfers of domain names with the extensions .ar.com, .biz, .br.com, .bz, .cc, .cn, .cn.com, .com, .de.com, .eu.com, .gb.com, .gb.net, .hu.com, .info, .jpn.com, .kr.com, .la, .mobi, .net, .no.com, .org, .qc.com, .ru.com, .sa.com, .se.com, .se.net, .tv, .tw, .uk.com, .uk.net, .us, .us.com, .uy.com, and .za.com can be done via the automated online transfer option at www.networksolutions.com. To transfer the extensions .ca, .cx, .eu, .gd, .gs, .ms, .tc or .vg, please complete this form.
The domain name entered is not supported. Domain names that begin with 'bq - -' or 'xn - -' are examples of non-supported domain names. Also country specific domain names such as .at, .be, .de, .mx, .nz, .uk, .vg, .gs, .tc, and .ms are also not supported.
The domain name entered is invalid. If the domain name is not in a valid format, e.g. domainname.com, the Transfer To "REGISTRAR NAME "process cannot proceed. You can easily correct a domain name entered incorrectly by using your browser's Back button to start a new search.
Well I called. They said for now I can not transfer in but I CAN transfer my .tel's out.
All I would have to do according to them is call my new Registrar and ask them to transfer "in" the .tel's and that the registrars would communicate the rest together.
I havent had time to do that yet, but will update you and let you know how it goes.
The way the .tel domains use the Telnic hosting adds a bit of confusion, but there is an option to take a backup of the content from there once you're logged in.
