From BusinessWeek:

Conde Nast Portfolio, the very big and glossy bet on a monthly business magazine made by the very big and glossy magazine company touted in its title, was shuttered today. Editor In Chief Joanne Lipman informed staffers of the news at an all-hands meeting hastily called at 9:45 AM. Lipman had been informed of the company’s decision earlier this morning at a meeting with Conde Nast Chairman Samuel I. “Si” Newhouse.

Wonder what will happen to that domain?

I wouldn't be surprised to see a move by staffers to buy the brand with the existing content, software and domain.

Nice domain for a variety of uses, but as we can see a website cannot succeed by domain alone. ;P

Some people seem to have the "field of dreams" business plan.

Guess what... just because you build it doesn't mean they will come.

Great tld though. I would use it as a portal for people to join and post protfolios and resumes or something.

Like a MySpace for people showing off their work.

I have seen lots of stand alone "resume" sites, no reason you can't put them into one.
