i'm a developer and wrote several shareware and selling via internet. now i'm planning a software review blog ask for your suggestions for a good domain name.

Every day i will test and review one software and post this blog. while i will put affiliate link to make money, but not for all softwares. freeware, open source software will also included for reviewing.

Could you please suggest for a good domain? Thanks in advance!

It's risky to ask for specific suggestions in public, because there's no way to prevent someone else from registering a good idea before you get there.

That said, the folks who hang around here can give much useful advice about general principles for choosing a domain name.

Best suggestions are a name that works with your niche, perhaps suggests the topic, and is easy to type/hype.

Specifics such as "redwidget.tld" will only provide fodder for those who grab and park domains for resell value.

Then again, we might come up with 10,000 or so "kewl" names and laugh while some idiot registers all of them and goes in the hole waiting for that sale that will make them rich. Ha!

while, maybe somebody could give me a method how to do such research to find a good name?

It is not so helpful to give someone some bread as to teach him how to make a living, right?

Google.

You already know the other part: research.

I like "niftykeenwidgets.something" but that tld doesn't exist, yet.

Seriously, you either know what you're going to present to the world or you don't. If you do then you know what it's about and somewhere in that is the name you're looking for. If it has already been taken then look at the alternatives/nearest and see if those are taken, if so, then look at other strategies such as opposites.

As to what will place that is something only time will tell.

You could always use your name and add "widget" to the end dot tld... and you know what "widget" is suggests. If you want to sticky and chat that way I'm open, but we don't discuss specific names on the forum for good reason.
